The Buggy Macao excursion offers an exciting adventure through the rugged terrain of Punta Cana, with a stop at the stunning Macao Beach. Known for its natural beauty, Macao Beach is a perfect place to unwind after an adrenaline-pumping ride. As you drive your buggy through off-road trails, you'll enjoy breathtaking views and end up at the pristine sands of Macao Beach, making this tour a memorable experience from start to finish.
The Macao Beach location is on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic, specifically in the province of La Altagracia. It’s located about 20 minutes north of Punta Cana, along the scenic Highway 105. This area is close to several popular resorts in the Punta Cana region, but it remains a more peaceful, undeveloped spot. The beach lies between the towns of Verón and Bávaro, providing visitors with a more authentic and natural experience, surrounded by cliffs, hills, and tropical greenery. The location is easily accessible by car and offers a perfect escape from the more crowded tourist areas nearby.
Our excursion begins when we pick you up from your hotel and head towards the Buggy Ranch in Macao.
Upon arrival, you'll receive safety instructions, your protective helmet, and an explanation to familiarize yourself with the different vehicles (Polaris, Four-Wheelers, or Buggies). You’ll practice for 10 minutes, and then the adventure begins.
Our first stop is at Macao Beach (a favorite among surfers), where we can swim in its crystal-clear waters and, why not, wash off all the mud accumulated during the journey through dirt roads and big puddles.
We’ll drive again through dirt trails, now surrounded by semi-jungle, heading to our next destination. On the way, we’ll stop at a typical coffee and cacao ranch, where you'll learn about the production process of coffee, cacao, and cinnamon, take photos, and taste their products.
Back on the off-road vehicles, we’ll reach our final stop at Los Hoyos de Molina, also known as Cueva Taína (Cenote), a natural spring with 8 meters of depth and crystal-clear waters, where you can take a refreshing swim.
After the swim, we’ll return to the starting point and take you back to your hotel.
